The "Flatten" function does not work. Drawing lines (avatar) works wonderfully, but as soon as you try to convert the finished (and painstakingly drawn) lines into a pattern using the "Flatten" function, you are unfortunately disappointed because nothing happens here. In earlier versions, this was possible without any problems and the pattern to be converted appeared in blue.
Apparently this bug exists at least since version 7.1.111 (possibly this entry here is related to the same bug: Lines are not recognized so flattening does not work).
Are you having difficulty selecting getting the areas to turn blue? or is it that when you select them, they aren't populating? Are you able to do only some shapes on the avatar, but not others?
I just tested it and am able to successfully flatten patterns in the same version. (draw a closed shape, hover around until it turns blue, select pattern = turns yellow, then press enter and it creates the pattern.)
Since you are familiar with the steps, can you try to specify which step might be failing so we can better assist?
