  Thank you for contacting us!

  There's no way to set the Layer of the zipper, but I'd like to give you some tips to try.

  1. Try to lower the particle distance of the Zipper in the Property Editor. (Click the Zipper, then the Property Editor will show up.)

  2. Try to change the Physical Property of the Zipper from Custom to the value that you want. It may be helpful to switch to kind of hard things such as Trims.

  Try viewing in the thicker texture mode as well so you can be sure you have all surface thicknesses rendering as you work.
