I saved my project file and closed the program, then came back a couple hours later to reopen the same project file. The garments were completely missing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program, reopened the project on another system, tried opening the png preview as a project (which has the garments in the img), tried importing the garments with that png file as well. None of these options worked. The garments arent hidden either, theyre just gone now
I don't know where my garments went and why its still visible on the png if when I open the save, theyre absent?

It seems that there are two or three people who worked on the file you've shared.
Perhaps the first person who saved the file saved it in version 6.0.579, and the second user is estimated to have worked at 6.0.537 .
But I think it's been saved strangely from the second work. It is estimated that there was a bug in the 6.0.537 version.
It is recommended to install and use the latest patch version :) I hope this helps. Should you have any other questions, please let me know.
Make sure you didn't over write the project, or that that project is not sitting in the default startup file. If you had a crash the app will save a backup copy, so check that there isn't a temporary one available. If you installed a new version > then the old version folder structure will likely still be there > check in that (archived version) root work folder for your project.
Check your system is not already running realtime backups for documents (generally a default setting in MS/Mac/linux) - that can also be a fail safe to get back data document work ... and if you have not yet set that up on your computer , now is maybe a good time to do that important admin process.
None of those options ended up working out. The default project files are still normal and the program didn't crash, but I looked for any autosaves and backups (came up with none), real-time backup for documents also was not on already so I turned that on for future projects.
Did you try the autosave folder >> you may have an old project backup sitting in there.
See Setting >> User settings >> > default files > Auto Save > File path > click folder icon to be taken to last project backup file.

I think I'm discovering that it seems to be an issue with the laptop that is being worked on because it actually happened again on that system with another project file that was being worked on. Would you mind recovering this project as well? Sorry for the inconvenience, I won't pester anymore after that lol! I really appreciate the help.

It seems that I encountered the same problem as Nate, but in my case nobody else worked with me on the file. Also, I didn't change software version between two saving. Like Nate, I also can see the correct file weight as before the problem. Can you maybe solve this unfortunate case please ? You can find the file form the link below :)
