Frequent Crashing

Ver: 6.1.645 (r37322)

MD freezes and needs to be end-tasked via Task Manager whenever I try to :

- freeze parts of the cloth, no matter the number of vertices

- quadrangulate via right-click menu

- retopologize via the top ribbon

I'm down to particle distance 8mm for the final cloth and I understand that things get slow at this fidelity but in previous versions, I've been able to push the simulation to 5mm on the same machine with far, far more stability than I'm experiencing now.

    I'm having a similar problem and have a powerful computer. It keeps crashing when I try to simulate even at 20mm particle distance. Here are my specs:

    Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12800H
    Video Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU
    Video Card #2 Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics
    Operating System Windows 11
    RAM 16 GB
