Patch Retopology doesn't snaping to curved patches

Hello. I noticed that Patch Retopology doesn't snap to curved patterns, however tutorials shows this tool working with curved patches.

    Thank you for contacting us,

    Currently, the Patch Retopology tool is only working with concave curve and have not yet support convex curves.  We are aware of this issue and are working on improvements to the retopology feature. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Any updates on this? This was posted over a year ago and this issue still exists.
