1.) I wonder why gravity is so soft. There is the setting at the "simulation" properties, but even when I triple gravity, we get a slowly falling cloth. Is there any other setting influencing this?
Of course I tried with different cloth types already, even leather....
2.) When I want to attach a rigid wooden bar at the bottom at a cloth (some curtains have a "heavy" wooden bar/stick to keep them flat) or even inbetween,
which would be the proper setting to combine cloth with something, that is rigid and has weight and reacts to gravity?

I suppose the object you're using for creating this effect is imported as Trim. You can also adjust the weight of the Trim objects you import to increase the weight that influences the garment.
