I've been getting this error message when adjust patterns after making them Quads:
"Due to mesh issues some patterns' mesh structure has been changed from rectangular mesh to triangular mesh".
I had the issue today when all I had done was create a basic tank top pattern, quadrangulated it and then moved some vertices and curves for a better fit. Then the error message appeared and just that pattern piece I had been adjusting was changed to tris - but not the symmetrical half which seems strange. I moved a vert back to where it was before and then I could convert back to quads. I hadn't added internal lines or done anything complicated. However, when it happened prior to this event I wasn't able to get the mesh back to quads which is a bit concerning going forward.
Can anyone please advise why this issue might be occurring and what to do about it?
Thank you!
MD has to remesh any time any changes are made. You moved some vertices, and that was enough. If you need quads for export, save the quad setup until the very last stage. Don't do any changes, or simulations after you quadify the mesh.
