Chances are I've probably already used a similar tool in MD that does this without even realising. ^^; But is there some sort of notch tool, like in CLO, or a similar workflow, for adding guides on where things will be stitched? I came across the term whilst watching this tutorial for adding inside pockets, at around the 5:50 mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjyUSQP-H_k&ab_channel=CLO
I'm guessing this would be done via the tracing tool, perhaps...? Anything to help with improving my workflow and getting measurements accurate... ^_^

Unfortunately, we do not support Add/Edit Notch feature in Marvelous Designer.
You may turn on Show Line Length in the 2D Pattern Window and use Add Point tool instead. You may try to add point with entered values to get your measurements more accurate. FYI, I attached the manual. (click here)
