Character Creator 3 Character looks translucent

    Hello, it can happen if your texture is PNG file format. If you change it to JPEG, it will be displayed normally.

    You can use .png texture files in MD. In fact the MD Sansar avatar characters are .png images. BUT where they differ in MD verse other software is in the alpha channel. (RGBA) You have two options > flip the black/white channel in the incoming RGBA .png file so it renders as solid in the MD render engine. Or save out a RGB .png instead of a RGBA .png image file.

     

    Below Sansar male texture file >RGBA  .png file > note alpha channel value. Compare that with your incoming alpha channel value and I bet you have pin-pointed the culprit. In future set your image save preset to flip the alpha channel value (0,255) from your 3D modelling app when using .png RGBA textures being ported to render in MD.
