I have created clothing in Marvellous Designer and imported it into Blender however they are intersecting as you can see in the screenshot. However they were not intersecting like this in Marvellous Designer. How do I prevent this?

This is due to the collision offset and rendered thickness in MD not showing in Blender when you export a thin mesh. The remedy is to view your model in MD in the mode you intend to export so you get the correct offset on your patterns before you export the model. In blender you can add in a thickness modifier at the same offset thickness you had in MD.
how can we view in MD in the same mode we intend to export?

Change the view to render as thick textured view in the main 3d window.
