Hi,
I'd like to create a render in marvelous designer of my shirt hanging off a clothing hanger in order to achieve something like this.
What would be the best way to achieve it? Can I simply import a model of a hanger and enable the simulation?

In the library are a set of standard hangers you can drag and drop into your scene > then simulate the shirt onto that item.
My shirt keeps slipping off the hanger when I do it. Is there another way? can I increase the size of the hanger maybe? My shirt has a collar that is pretty wide.
You have two options, you could increase the fabric preset surface friction for your garment, or you can tack the clothing item to the hanger (avatar) using tack to avatar, whereby you can adjust the length of the tacks thread in the property editor to suit your drape or position on the hanger.
