When I use the Layer Clone feature the cloned fabric blows up as if it has positive pressure on it, which it does not. This is mainly visible on the bottom of the coat.
My character is scaled after the avatars that you can find in Marvelous Designer so it shouldn't be that.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Thanks in advance!
It shouldn't. (I just did a test.) Check the seamlines and see if there is a Fold angle applied. If that isn't it, then remove the extra pattern piece, and just apply Topstitching to represent the hem.
Thanks, Rosemary, I had some Fold Strength applied to the sewing lines without knowing! But it seems that is applied by default, do you really need to go back and turn it down to zero every time?
Default is normally a 180 (flat) connection between two pieces. If you are overlaying one piece on top of another, you may need a 0 degree (or a 360 degree) fold to have them lay flat. It's just something to watch for, as it doesn't always follow what you might expect.
