Hello everyone.
So I was making a fantasy looking outfit for my main character (daz studio), and i wanted to make my own jacket/coat like upper so i imported my daz character (naked) as an avatar in MD and then i imported his cloths as (load scenes and props) because Load as garment option makes the imported outfit behavior weird.
But the jacket i am making in MD is not taking my imported cloths as it should like the previous version and the jacket is getting under the pants. How can i make it so that the upper part of the jacket goes under the chest plate armor and lower part of the jacket simulate over the pants i imported.
Edit: By using the strengthen options the jacket part i want to remain under is doing its job to some degree but i am still at loss as how to fix the part i want to simulate over the import cloth obj pants.
Thanks.
Hi Alex King,
If you want to import clothes into Marvelous Designer only as collision object, you can import (Add) the cloths as Avatar. You can do so by going to Main Menu ▶ File ▶ Import (Add) ▶ OBJ.
After importing your cloths, you can also highlight the cloths and go to Property Editor to change the skin offset to get a better collision behavior.
For the jacket that you want to put under the chest plate, you can try lowering the Shrinkage Weft first to make a tight fit to the body than slowly and gradually increase it back.
Here's a tutorial we have on importing OBJ objects: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnJ1vYhyQ7o
