Hello,
After exporting a iclone animated FBX (278 frames) and then in turn importing into MD, creating a garment , simulating it. Finally exporting back out of MD as Alembic. When importing back into iclone 7 it only now has 139 frames. The garment animation therefore is out of sequence and completes its animation before the avatar does.
Looking at the MD timeline it has decoded 139 frames from the 278 frame FBX that it imported.
What could be the cause of the missing frames.
If the iclone animation is exported as Alembic and then imported into MD as Alembic there is a choice of import 60 FPS but still the decoded frame count still is 139 frames.
Hi IanHudson,
It seems like the frame rate you are simulating as is double of the animation frame rate in iClone. If you are simulating at 60 frames per second in Marvelous Designer, could you please check your iClone setting if is also set as 60 FPS?
The FPS of the Alembic Cache exported from MD is from your Animation Editor setting which you can set here:
If your iClone import, export, and animation playback setting are all set at 60 FPS, could you please send me your Alembic file and your MD file in a support ticket so we can take a further look at it in our end.
Best regards,
Marvelous Designer Support Team
