Why does Clo3d has Render, but Marvelous Designer has Closet?

While I don't speak for the MD team, and can only speculate based on what I know, basically, CLO is for the fashion industry, which is typically where the designing and presentation digitally starts and ends. While MD is designed around the film/game industry, where your design in MD will almost always be passed on to another software to continue on. That means Max or Maya (usually Zbrush first), or sent to a game engine like Unity or Unreal for rendering, meaning rendering in MD is an unnecessary feature for most, and therefore can be cut out to make the software cheaper, as software development related costs don't have to go into it. If you think that's not great, keep in mind that CLO does not have access to unnecessary features for that industry like retopology, and UV export that MD does.

Thank you so much for your answer. Never thought of it that way.

I'll just then ask for a better quality CLOSET

CLO3D is a one stop digital clothing application that has everything self contained as software for fashion designers whom need to have a simple software. Whereas MD is one part of a bigger CG pipeline or suite of software(s) that MD plugs into as part of the workflow.

A good combination if you are using MD is to use the free blender 2.83 as both modeller and render engine and animation development with MD. That will give you more than enough capability to render images with cycles and then has a solid set of 3D and 2D tools that are easy to learn that all sit in one additional software. So that keeps your toolset pipeline to roughly 2 software's.
