Maybe this isn't a problem for many people, but so often when I select and shift select lines/edges, the lines will move unintentionally because I haven't been accurate enough in keeping my cursor perfectly still/motionless when selecting, so I constantly find myself having to Undo, Undo, Undo, when selecting lines because they keep moving, not to mention the time it wastes whilst MD synchronises. This problem could be eliminated entirely if you could select a line just by dragging the marquee selection over the line – I don't mean dragging the selection to encompass the entire line, but just touching a line with the marquee select should be enough to select it, or holding shift to add to the current selection.
As I said, maybe this isn't a problem for many people, but as someone that exclusively uses a Wacom tablet, I find that keeping the cursor entirely still/motionless when clicking on the surface of the tablet is nearly impossible.
