Does the autofit facility in MD 10 mean that you can make clothing on a native MD Avatar and then autofit it to a Daz Genesis imported OBJ avatar?

Yes basically you can load in any character, set the base skin suit used to transfer weight map to pattern piece scale ,then select an MD9.5+ garment and the magic (interpolation and scaling) will happen.
I have had similar capability for many years using a similar external algorithmic approach. Good to see MD finally play catchup. Only my older system is still perhaps faster and more versatile as I can batch fit hundreds of garments at a time. So. good to finally see this function come into MD for all users.
Thanks. That's good to know.
Yes, I've autofit the Hana Garments and the Shirred Dress successfully to Genesis 8 Female using the MD10 Autofit.
Yes as long as your character now has the same number of limbs as a biped (eg: no octopuses) shared with your garment you should now be good togo. Thankfully I have had this feature in my MD pipeline for 5+ years, so good to see all users now get the benefit. One MD garment library can now fit all characters. Something I have been stressing as crucial for Digital CG clothing libraries.
Lets hope people now leverage their assets in new ways?!
😊
Let's hope so indeed.
