Animated alembic avatar crashes when smoothing activated

I am seeing a lot of faceting. I want to smooth the avatar that is an alembic and when I turn it on it crashes Marvelous. Does this happen if the avatar is an FBX?

    Hi geordie,

    Thank you for contacting us.

    It seems like a bug for the Alembic avatar with Animation.  Thank you for reporting this to us and I'll submit it right away.

    This does not happen if the avatar is an FBX.  You can use smooth feature in the Animation Editor if you import your animation as FBX.

    I will try and use an fbx until this gets fixed.

    Hi team,

    I am unfortunately having it crash to desktop even when the avatar is imported as an fbx.

    If no animation is attached when imported, smoothing works correctly.

    Is there a timeframe for this to be fixed?
