Hi,
I've assigned a ribbing material to my shirt collar. However, when I fully render the shirt, it looks like this. Why is the ribbing material not circular / contouring to the shape of the collar? How can I make the material curve to the shape of the collar?
To create the rib around the neck in this manner you need to use a rectangular pattern with the rib fabric assigned to the front - curved edge-back, when the rectangular pattern is sewn to the curved neckline it will render the texture in the same manner as you see in the image. Don't make a curved neckband that is wrong - tee shirts have thin ribbed rectangular patterns.
I'm trying your approach to make the rectangular pattern and I am using free sewing to get it sewn onto the symmetric pattern here. However, it produces the result on the avatar you see to the left What am i doing wrong?
Angel Angel did you get a chance to see?
It is hard to see from the images you have posted what is going on. However you may have sewn a pattern on incorrectly. Your tee shirt pattern also looks incorrect > usually you have a sleeve as one piece. There is a sample tee shirt in the modulator tab, maybe see that one as an example, there are quite a few sample garments you can load from that feature.
Angel Angel I am simply using a symmetric pattern to create the other half of the bodice + other sleeve.
Try sewing it in this order. You need to sew across 2 patterns equidistant > see color lines for mating sewing.
Angel Angel sorry but i am not sure I understand what you mean
Your sewing is wrong.
Sew the single neck band onto the two patterns. Repeat for the other teeshirt pattern and neck band > then sew the 2 neck band ends either side of the shoulder (2 places).
