Hello! I have a question more so about the theory behind how Particle Distance remeshing works. I recently read a paper about using equilateral triangle meshes for cloth simulation in DCCs. Looking at a mesh coming from MD, the triangulation of a MD pattern piece doesn't use equilateral triangles, they're pretty varied. Is it more advantageous for simulation quality to have varying triangle shapes? I'm wondering, how does the Particle Distance algorithm remesh a pattern piece with varying density based on the user input of a particle distance value?
We can only answer technical support questions and provide advice, we are unable to provide answers to questions of this nature. All we can say is: I'm there is a reason for why it functions the way it does.
