Hello. I'm using the latest MD12 (7.1.143(r41692)) on win11.
Selecting any element (pattern, line, point) in 2D Pattern Window by single mouse click is often mistaken as mouse drag, which moves the selected element a bit. Not always, but really often happens.
In the GIF animation below, the 3rd mouse click is mistaken as mouse drag.
I don't suppose this is my own environmental issue. Such an issue never occur except for MD in my PC.
And this issue seems to occur to the other users as well. For example, in your official youtube live ( https://youtu.be/I8QdGyIumPE?t=1642s ).
This is really an annoying issue. Please fix.

It's a major annoyance for me, especially since I use a vertical mouse (and even worse when trying to use my wacom pen).
I'm always selecting multiple edge segments to get the combined measurement and end up altering the pattern without noticing. We need a "select only" tool for the 2d window.
I had this same problem in the 3d window, but luckily we can change into the divided gizmo that effectively turns "Q" into select only.
This needs to be corrected definitely. Pretty please
