TopStitches , Buttonholes exporting to Cinema4d

Can you clarify the question ?  Do you want textures or 3D top stitches to export ?

You can add your own top stitch models into the MD library as top-stitch type and swap them out on export. Means you can raise the quality in your render engine and reduce the export file size (also lets you treat edge normal's as well for thin mesh.) See below various dia. and top-stitch ply yarns - 2 ply, 3 ply and 4 ply.

Simple node graph to automate top stitching models by pitch, yarn ply, yarn diameter, yarn twist, color etc. I've left out the yarn strays, and random variation as this is a low poly model preview only. You can basically create any complexity custom top stitch in a few minutes. Much faster and better than doing this type of thing in Adobe substance, as you have more control.

You can also load in any custom buttons and button holes you make as well. So that really starts to open out what you can do. If you set up a master model, you can bake out all the stitch types in a batch bake, that you then dump into your MD library as a set. I typically would batch that out for any new project using these simple parametric tools so everything matches for any project. About 5 minutes to make a complete set of top stitches and texture maps, as non-destructive items that remain editable at any stage.

Simple Button (above) - low poly model loaded into MD as library item. Drag and drop.

@... Thank you very! much for the reply. I dont have trouble exporting the buttons but  Basically when I add the top stitch and buttonholes in MD, and export the clothing to Cinema4d, top stitches only shows up if I export as texture, but there is no option to export the buttonhole as texture so I exported as obj, but it doesnt show at all in cinema4d. . So trying to figure it out that.

I see that  the render engine you use I guess blender. So how you make the buttonholes visible when you export to blender from MD? Do you basically create the buttonhole in blender and add it?

    Hey @...!

This may be a noob question but...did you manage to get that realistic hole stitches solely in MD? How did you do that? I'm really going crazy over it and I'd love some advice!

    cheers
