is anyone else finding that avatars don't load?
I find that importing Daz figures is fine but the native avatars for MD 9 just won't load.
The program crashes and shuts down.
The new version of 9.5 did load an avatar when it first installed but now it too crashes.
I tried loading in several formats, from Daz, imported from Blender and Max, collada, alembic and Fbx formats and it makes a mess everytime. first I though it was blender so I opened a fbx with max and blender and then sent one from max to blender, it worked perfectly both ways, except when you take them into MD. also went down a version, still the same issue. I'll try to go to the first from 9.5 and see if it solves that issue.
Tryed going down on the first version on 9, looked every exporting setting in both Max and Blender, no luck.
For me, as I said it's MD's own NATIVE AVATARS that won't load.
Wow. Sorry... I didn't understood. Mine load perfectly fine. My issue is importing animations from other softwares.

You check for if the avatar files are still in your avatar folder, sometimes they can get deleted by accident. They should be under C: drive>Users>Public>public documents>Marvelous Designer>assets_Ver(your current version in the bottom left hand corner of the program) >avatar >Avatar> you will see folders for female, male, kid, sansar and V1 - check if those folders still have the .AVT files in them. If they are missing you can copy them from an older asset version OR sometimes it may be easier to just uninstall and reinstall Marvelous Designer (clicking under your user name)
Also try hitting the refresh button in the favorites window when you select the avatar folder - it will be an arrow going in a circle in the right side of the tab/panel/window. It will update/refresh the folder source.

I didn't think it would work BUT - I tried the refresh button in the favourites window when selecting the avatar circle.
