Is there any way to make garments less clingy?

Hi sorry for this noob question.

just a simple question. if anyone knows about this, please help me.

I wonder if there is any way to make garments less clingy to my avatar.

lt almost drives me nuts frankly.

    There could be a number of causes: from making the garment too small for the 3D avatar by using only the 2D silhouette as the guide; to having the avatar the wrong size, or a score of other reasons.   

    MD is meant to replicate real-world cloth characteristics.  If it is not doing that at the default settings, then something else is to blame.   

    It would help to analyze the situation in your case if you provided screenshots of both the 3D window showing the clinging action you object to, as well as the 2D window with the pattern layout.  Try to show the 3D avatar in full view, with the ground plane grid showing, and the 2D window with the patterns and the silhouette both in the image.
