I've had those problems before, it has generally been that one of my pattern pieces is backwards. The internal pressure pushes against one side of the patter, defined by the pattern normal (usually the darker side in the 2d view).
If you can identify which one is backwards, right click on it in the 3d view and select reverse normal.
It is of course possible that both are backwards
