I can't run MD

I have a gaming computer with an i7 and a RTX 2060, it can handle any game on medium settings, but MD constantly crashes and freezes every time I make a change to the template. I've checked the settings and reinstalled, the simulation is set to gpu, but it still runs like molasses on my literal gaming computer.

 

How do I fix this? Or is MD just that slow and this is expected?
