When I export my animation as an .abc and import it into blender I have the possibility to use an .velocity attribute which is used to calculate the motion blur.
The problem is that my exported alembic export doesn’t include a velocity attribute so I can’t use any motion blur for my short film which is a problem.
Am I missing something or does a workaround exist?
I would appreciate any ideas and solutions.

Hey Victor. I'm afraid that Marvelous Designer does not support Velocity Attributes. Currently, the Velocity attribute does not bake into Alembic when exporting in Marvelous Designer. Currently just position and UV attribute.
It can be achieved in Maya by just turning on the deformation blur, and in Houdini by adding a trail node. Im not sure how to create this attribute in Blender.
Hope this can help you out finding a workaround
Thank you for the response and luckily I have access to Houdini.
It worked perfectly but I hoped I wouldn’t have to add any extra steps.
