I am looking to try and perform these operations with Python and I would like an example if someone at Marvelous Designer RnD can provide an example or let me know if it is not possible.
Operations:
1. Open a starting file
2. load an FBX with an animation
3. set the frame ranges for a simulation
4. simulate
5. export the resulting Alembic

Thank you.
Yeah. I found this file and it is quite informative.
C:\Program Files\Marvelous Designer Personal\example.py
Where is MVPython the package/module located?
How can someone open a connection to a headless MarvelousDesigner session? I want to run a sim without opening the UI. Is there a way?
Hello geordie,
Please refer below for the answers to your questions.
Where is MVPython the package/module located?
> If you were inquiring about the module that is defined within our python file, then please note that it is not available for its access since it only exists as internal API.
How can someone open a connection to a headless MarvelousDesigner session?
> There is no headless Marvelous Designer session at the moment, so this is not available.
I want to run a sim without opening the UI. Is there a way?
> We do not have the availability of this yet so far.
It would be great to have this ability so artists can use Marvelous to simulate the clothing on a lot of motion. I need to simulate about 45 min worth of simulated cloth. To produce it I really need the command line and batch options.
I look forward to one day being able to use Marvelous in this way.
