Hey guys,
Having some issues every time I use the Layer Clone (over) command. I just can't get my cloned piece to sit flat there is always a gap (see image)
I've tried adjusting the materials thickness, cranking the particle distance down to 2mm - nothing fixes it and it's a real nuisance as this is a major part of the work flow I am trying to employ.
Does anyone know what the issues is here?
Hello Mouland Paul,
Thank you for contacting us!
If you hit the simulation button, the gap between the two patterns will be removed. I hope this helps :)
Should you have any other questions, please let me know!
Have a lovely day!
Thanks Sonia. That photo was taken following the simulation. The fix was to reduce all of the thickness on the materials.
Hello Mouland Paul,
Thank you for getting back to us!
I'm glad you found a solution to that issue. Should you have any other questions, please let me know! Thanks.
Hi, I have the same problem and reducing the material thickness doesn't help but only reduces the gap. However, if you export the mesh it is not stitched. It is clearly visible when it is stitched manually vs using the Layer clone over/under function.
