Why do parts of my clothes glitch/shake/jitter when my character's T-Shirt sleeves make contact with other parts of my shirt?

For example, during the animation, my character puts their arms by their side, making it so the sleeves contact the torso of the shirt. At the point of intersection of the sleeves and torso, there is a lot of jittering of the clothes.

MD has a default offset built into the cloth simulation properties.  When you have two closely adjacent surfaces of the avatar (such as between the arms and torso) the cloth is getting two opposing sets of instructions, each saying 'keep away'.  The conflict can't be resolved as long as these conditions persist.  And so, the jittering will continue to happen.

To fix it you need one of two changes made.  First, don't have the surfaces so close together.  Granted, this is not always possible.  Second, you will have to manually change the default offset setting.  Click on the avatar's surface, and in the Properties Editor, find the spot for 'Skin Offset' and reduce the default setting (which is 3 mm) to something smaller.  You can also adjust the cloth's own settings:  Select the cloth, and in Properties Editor, find the listing for Add'l Thickness - Collision, and reduce that setting.
