For example, in making a pocket all the tutorials seem to create an internal shape on the pattern then clone that off as a pattern. What if you want to go the other way? You have the pocket piece but want to create the internal shape on the main pattern?
Ah, answered my own question. Just use clone as internal shape. It was not working for me initially as I was trying to place the shape over the one being cloned. It's a strap that has one section sewn to a larger pattern. I had the strap in place already, overlapping the main part. To get it to work I had to clone the shape and move it well away over the main pattern, click to set it and then move it back to snap over the original position. Otherwise it kept cloning as an internal shape on itself.
