I don't get on well with Alembic export at all. Having constant issues with the reimport into other software with vertices not lining up and a host of other things - the absolute holy grail would be to be able to export the clothing as an FBX mesh with the cloth simulation animation saved within it. That way we can just import into other software, add textures and done.
Any chance this might be in the roadmap at all?
Fbx doesn't store deformations so that doesn't seem like it's going to happen.
