1. I have a folder called Substance in my MD Library, but when I add my materials that I downloaded for Substance Designer, they don't appear there, only the default ones. How can I see my materials there?
2. I saw somewhere that I can download directly inside of MD, but it doesn't show for me in the Material Tab. What do I need to do to see the icon there?
I need answer to both questions, but mostly the 1st, as I suspect the 2nd one may work for me because I don't have the latest version of SD, i bought mine on steam a couple years ago.
[edit]
I had to put the whole folder with the materials inside the Substance folder in MD, the shortcut doesn't work. Too bad, I didn't want to have the same files twice in my computer as it takes a lot of memory, but unfortunately there's no other way.
1. That default library folder exists in the default Assets folder so here is the location you can look for:THISPC>OS C>USERS>PUBLIC>PUBLICDOCS>MarvelousDesigner>ASSETS>MATERIALS
If you want that default folder to contain your externally installed substance files you will need to place them in the folder. OR what MOST people do is they use the + icon on the library tab to "shortcut" their folders. and you can customize your library. The library sources the windows folder locations as long as its a folder it can be added.
2. There is not a direct download option for substance at this time. ONLY CLO3D has that option currently. You likely saw it VIA a CLO video that was incorrectly tagged as Marvelous Designer (for SEO reasons by that creator. that happens that A LOT)
