Animation Markers indicate significant points on the timeline or in space, allowing users to quickly identify the locations of scene transitions, events, and keyframes.
Comments can be added to Markers to leave notes regarding editing intentions or task instructions. Additionally, they can be utilized as event triggers in the API via their names.
Add
- Open the Animation Editor.
Right-click the Timeline Ruler to display the context menu.
Click Add under the Marker group.
- When the Marker dialog appears, set the name and frame of the Marker, then click OK.
- Verify that a new Marker has been created at the specified frame.
Edit
- Hover the mouse over a created Marker to view its name and frame through the displayed tooltip.
- To move a Marker, select and drag it to the left or right.
- To edit a Marker's name, double-click the Marker or right-click it and select Edit from the context menu.
- Modify the information in the displayed dialog, then click OK.
- Verify that the changes have been applied to the Marker.
Copy and Paste
- Select one or more Markers.
- Copy the Markers by pressing Ctrl+C or clicking Copy from the right-click context menu.
Specify the current frame using the playhead, then paste the Markers by pressing Ctrl+V or clicking Paste from the context menu.
- The Markers will be pasted at the current frame indicated by the playhead.
Delete
- Select one or more Markers you wish to delete.
- Press the Delete key or click Delete from the right-click context menu to remove the Markers.
