Blend Shape is a technology that creates natural forms by blending various pre-made body types or facial expressions at desired ratios.
With just a single base model, Blend Shape allows for real-time and flexible transformations, ranging from various target body sizes to subtle facial expressions.
This feature enables users to import avatars containing Blend Shape data into Marvelous Designer, allowing for instantaneous body changes and precise dynamic fitting.
📝 Note: To use this feature, you should import files that contain Blend Shape data.
Workflow
- Load a file containing Blend Shape data as an Avatar type.
- Go to Main Menu → Avatar → Avatar Editor to open the Avatar Editor
- Click on the Blend Shape tab in the Avatar Editor
- Check the list of Deformable Parameters included in the loaded avatar.
- Adjust the weight of the desired part between 0 and 100 to modify the shape.
Options
- Select Avatar
- This option is displayed when multiple Blend Shape avatars are loaded; it will not appear if only a single avatar is present.
- Selecting an avatar will display the corresponding Deformable Parameters for that specific avatar.
- Deformable Parameters
- The list of deformable parameters included by the creator is grouped and displayed by mesh unit.
- Each parameter can be set as a Favorite. By enabling Show Favorites Only in the top right, you can manage the list efficiently by displaying only your favorited items.
- Clicking the Reset button will revert all unsaved changes to their initial values.
