Objective

Input specific measurements to offset Patterns and segments as Internal Lines.

Location

Operation

Offset as Internal Line

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Edit Pattern/ Transform Pattern
   2D Toolbar ▶ Edit Pattern/ Transform Pattern
    
2. Right-click on top of a Pattern and select Offset As Internal Line from the pop-up menu. 
   → The Offset as Internal Line window appears.
    

3. Configure the settings as needed.

   Number of Offsets	Set the number of Internal Lines to be generated
   Distance	Set the interval between each Internal Line.
   	All	Set the distance of all segments to be the same.
   	Individual (Ver. 2025.0)	Set the spacing for each line segment individually.
   Offset From (Ver. 2025.0)	When inputting individual distances, the individual line can be set as the previous or selected line.
   Reverse Direction	Change in the reverse direction of the selected segment.
   Both Sides  (Ver. 2025.0)	Create internal lines in both directions based on the selected segment.
   Extend	to Pattern Outline	Extend to Pattern Outline.
   	to Internal Line	Extend to Internal Line of the pattern.

    

4. Click OK.
   → Depending on the settings, the internal line/shape is created. 
   → If it is a curve, the curve point is automatically optimized.

Offset as Internal Line along Curved (ver3.2.0)

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Edit Pattern/ Transform Pattern
   2D Toolbar ▶ Edit Pattern/ Transform Pattern
    
2. Select the two Pattern outlines between where the Internal Lines are created.
    
3. Right click on the selected Pattern outline and select Offset as Internal Line along Curved (ver3.2.0)
   → The Offset as Internal Line along Curved (ver3.2.0)
    

4. Adjust the options below as needed, then select OK.

   Name	Description
   Number of Offsets	Set the number of Internal Lines to be created.
   Offset	Set the distance between each Internal Lines.
   Distance to Segment Edge	Set the distance from the Pattern outlines for the Internal Lines.
   Reverse Direction	Horizontally reverse the Internal Lines' position based on the Distance to Segment Edge.
   Opposite Segment	Vertically reverse the Internal Lines' position based on the Distance to Segment Edge.
   Straight Line	Create Internal Lines as straight lines.
   Perpendicular Direction	Create Internal Lines perpendicular to the selected Pattern outlines.

   → Internal Lines are created based on the above settings.

※ Note:

• Using the same function, additional Internal Lines can be created between Internal Lines.
• When the Pattern outlines or Internal Lines are divided in multiple segments, hold down the Shift key on the keyboard to select them all.
