Objective

You can add a wind effect to the 3D Window to create the impression that your garment is being affected by the wind. You can change the wind settings with several options.

Location

Main Menu ▶ Display ▶ Environment ▶ Show Wind Controller

View icon in 3D Window ▶ Environment ▶ Show Wind Controller

Operation

Activate Wind Effect

1. Follow this path

→ The wind controller appears in a 3D window in the shape of a wind.

2. Click the Wind controller
→ A gizmo appears on the Wind controller and properties for the wind appear in the Property Editor.

3. click the checkbox under Wind → Activate.
 → The Activate checkbox will be ticked to activate the wind.

4. Click the Simulation button.
→ Wind is activated in the 3D window.

Wind Direction Setting

1. Follow this path

Main menu → View → Environment view icon → Show Wind Controller
→ The wind controller appears in a 3D window in the shape of a wind.

2. Click on the Wind Controller
→ The gizmo is activated.

3. Use the gizmo to adjust the position and direction of the wind, the wind flows in the direction of the icon and arrow.

4. Click Simulation.
→ In the 3D window, the wind blows at the position and direction you adjusted.

Multiple Wind Setting

1. Create or duplicate a Wind Controller.

    Create: Scene Browser → Select Wind group, Right-click → Create Wind
    Duplicate: Scene Browser → Select Wind Controller in the Wind group, Right-click → Duplicate

                     Environment icon in 3D Window window → View Wind Controller

                     → Select Wind icon in 3D window → Right-click → Duplicate

Wind Properties Setting

1. Follow the corresponding path:

Main Menu → View → Show Wind Controller

→ The Wind Controller appears in the 3D Window.

2. Click the wind controller.
→ The properties for the wind appear in the Property Editor.

3. In the Property Editor, set the wind options according to your preference.
