Objective

Apply a Hardened simulation state to patterns in the 3D window. 

Location

3D Toolbar ▶ Select/Move ▶ 3D Garment Right-Click Pop-up Menu ▶ Strengthen / Unstrengthen

2D Toolbar ▶ Transform Pattern ▶ 2D Pattern Right-Click Pop-up Menu ▶ Strengthen / Unstrengthen

Operation

1. Use the Transform Pattern tool to select patterns

2. Right-click, in the pop-up menu select Strengthen.

or use hotkeys: Ctrl + H (Windows), Ctrl + L (MAC) 

→ The selected patterns will temporarily gain strength and express clean folds where fold angles are applied

3. To unstrengthen, right-click, in the pop-up menu select Unstrengthen.

or use hotkeys: Ctrl + H (Windows), Ctrl + L (MAC) 

→ The strengthen effect will be removed.

※ Note:

• When the Patterns are strengthened properly, they turn orange in color.
• Right-click to open the 3D Background Options Menu ▶ Show/Hide Color (Show/Hide 3D Color Ver. 2024.1) to hide Strengthen color display in the 3D window

End Result

The strengthened patterns will temporarily gain stiffness to all properties and express clean folds where fold angles are applied.
