Objective
Patterns are automatically sewn based on their placement on default avatars.
※Note: The available range of automatic sewing is as follows,
- Supported Garments:
- Top (T-shirts, Jackets, Jumpers, etc.)
- Pants
- Skirts

Operation
1. Click the Arrangement Points of the Avatar to arrange the Pattern.
→Since Auto Sewing is calculated based on the information provided from the Arrangement Points make sure to place patterns on the correct arrangement points.
※ Note: correct Arrangement Points should be used based on the rules below. Otherwise, Auto Sewing may not work properly.
Collar/ Band | Use Arrangement Points at the Avatar's neck. |
Bodies |
Use Arrangement Points on the Avatar's body. |
Sleeves | Use Arrangement Points at the Avatar's arm, the cuffs can be used either arm/wrist Arrangement Points. |
Bottom |
Use Arrangement Points at the legs. - If the pants' width is large, arrange front and back pattern pieces separately by using each of the arrangement points. |
2. Select the tool/menu indicated in Location.
→ Choose Garment type. (Top, Pants, Skirt)
→ For Tops: choose Front type from "Openable, Partially Openable, or Closed"
→ For Tops with "Closed" selected: choose "Collar seam". (Auto, Center Front, or Back Left)
→ Click OK.
→ The arranged patterns are automatically sewn.
※ Note:
- This feature will only work with the Default Bounding Volumes provided by Marvelous Designer, custom Bounding volumes & arrangement points will not work.
- If sewing has been applied prior to automatic sewing, it is maintained while the rest of the sewing lines are being additionally auto-sewn.
- Darts and Pleats can be sewn automatically without arranging patterns.
- For Pleats, automatic sewing is possible only when Internal Lines are defined by the fold direction of the Pleats.
- (Make sure your sewing line has segment points dividing the line for this operation to function properly)
