Objective
Apply 2D image files to express the surface texture of fabric.
Operation
Via Drag and Drop
- Open a folder that contains the desired texture image in your file browser.
- Drag and drop the texture image onto a pattern in the 2D or 3D window.
→ The texture of all patterns using the same Fabric will have the new texture applied.
※ Note:
- If a texture image is already applied, the existing texture image will be replaced when applying a new texture image via drag and drop.
- Drag and drop an image file directly from the file browser to the Open icon next to the Texture menu in the Property Editor (Ver. 4.0.0).
- Drag and drop an image file directly from the file browser to an object in the program, then select the correct map: texture, normal, specular (Ver. 4.0.0).
- After Base Color Texture image is applied, maps for Displacement, Opacity, Roughness, and Metalness channel can be automatically generated using PBR Map Generator (ver. 2024.1).
- If using a Base Color Map with an alpha (to transmit transparency) and Opacity Map are applied at the same time, the alphas of both are reflected in the transparency result (ver.2024.1)
- Before (Ver. 2024.1) when the Base Color Map and Opacity Map were applied at the same time: only the alpha of the Opacity Map was reflected in the transparency expression, not the alpha of the Basecolor Map. Now the alpha of both maps is applied (Ver. 2024.1)
- You can now "open your Texture File with Another App" (this is found under Property editor > material > Base color > base color map > ellipsis (...) for quick editing (Ver. 2025.0)
Via Property Editor

- Follow the path: Property Editor ▶ Fabric ▶ Texture Open button.
→ The Open File window appears. - Find and select the desired texture image from the file browser, then load.
