Objective
Modify the Fabric's grainline and location for individual Patterns, and texture image's rotation and size for individual Fabric.
Location
Main Menu ▶ Materials ▶ Texture ▶ Edit Texture
2D/3D Toolbar ▶ Edit Texture
Operation
Move
- Follow the indicated location above.
- Click ▶ Drag texture image applied to Pattern with the left mouse button.
→ The selected texture image of the selected Pattern is now being moved.
Zoom In/Out
- Follow the indicated location above.
- Select a Pattern to zoom in/out.
→ A Gizmo is now being activated at the top-right corner of the 2D window. - Click ▶ Drag the diagonal line.
- Enlarge or reduce the size of the selected texture image.
→ The selected texture image is now being adjustable while maintaining its horizontal and vertical ratios. - Click ▶ Drag the horizontal line in order to enlarge/reduce the texture image to up/down and left/right.
→ All texture images applied to the same Fabric are now being adjustable corresponding to the axis direction. - Alternatively, select a Fabric and enter the image's Width and Height value in Property Editor ▶ Material ▶ Texture Transformation.
→ The width and height of all texture images applied to the same Fabric are now being adjusted.
Rotate
- Follow the indicated location above.
- Select a Pattern to rotate the Fabric.
→ A Gizmo is now being activated at the top-right corner of the 2D window. - A circle appears when mouse-over the curve.
- Drag around the circumference of the circle.
→ The selected texture image of the selected Pattern is now being rotated.
Rotate Grainline
- Follow the indicated location above.
- Click on a Pattern to rotate its grainline.
→ The selected Pattern's grainline is now being in black color. - Drag around the activated grainline, when the mouse cursor becomes in a shape of circular rotation.
→ The selected grainline is now being rotated and so as the texture image. - Alternatively, select a Fabric and enter the angle value for grainline in Property Editor ▶ Fabric ▶ Grain Direction.
→ The selected grainline is now being rotated and so as the texture image. - Simulate once it is adjusted.
→ The draping is now being adjusted according to the change in grainline.
Align Grain Parallel to Selected
- Follow the indicated location above.
- Select a Pattern to rotate its grain.
→ The grain of the selected Pattern is activated.
→ When multiple Patterns are selected, only the last Pattern's grain is activated, but the configuration is applied to all Patterns. - Right click on the Pattern and select Align Grain Parallel to Selected.
→All selectable segments are highlighted. - Hover the mouse over the segment which the grain is to be aligned with.
→ The segment is highlighted in light blue.
→ The grain rotates.
→ When the selected segment is a curve, the grain rotates based on a line connecting the ends of the curve. - Click the desired segment.
→ The grain rotates parallel to the selected line.
→ When multiple Patterns are selected, all their grains rotate accordingly.
※ Note:
After selecting a Fabric, navigate to Property Editor ▶ Material ▶Transformation ▶Texture to type in the texture's width, height, and angle.
Right-click to input the exact values while rotating textures and grainlines.
Edit back of texture when you change Garment Rendering Style as Back Texture Surface (ver. MD10)
