Objective
This function allows easier simulation when setting which layer to get in/outward among overlapped multiple layers. By using this function, taking out inaccurately inwardly simulated patterns such as pockets and buttons, gets easier. In addition, adding additional outerwear on top of garments such as dress and shirts. The default layer value of zero ('0') means the layer function is being off. In that state, the arrangement order of the patterns gets decided.
Location
Click Pattern ▶ Property Editor ▶ Simulation Properties ▶ Layer
Operation
-
Select a pattern in the 3D window to set a layer with Select/Move tool.
※ Note: Select patterns in the 2D window, in case of having difficulties when choosing in the 3D window.
-
Follow the guide below:
Click Pattern ▶ Property Editor ▶ Simulation Properties ▶ Layer
- Apply the value by clicking Simulate button.
※Note:
- When the layer value is being set, the patterns become highlighted in blue outline. Once the draping in desired order is completed, set the value back to zero ('0') for more stable simulation. (There is no change in draping even after modifying the value back to zero('0')). If the layer value is zero('0'), but the menu appears in red when all patterns are being selected, it is because there is a variety of values being mixed. Therefore revert the layer value to zero('0') once again.
- Right-click to open the 3D Background Options Menu ▶ Show/Hide Color (Show/Hide 3D Color Ver. 2024.1) to hide the layered patterns outline highlight color in the 3D window.
Show layer Depth (Ver. 2024.1)
Objective
Toggle view option in the 2D window to display the layer number and color code to help visualize layers.
Location
2D Window ▶ 2D Information ▶ Show Pattern Layer
Operation
- Follow the guideline for Apply Layer Value to number different pattern layers:
-
Select and enter desired Layer number on selected pattern or multiple patterns.
→Layer value is assigned - Set different layer values for other patterns.
-
Click the Show Pattern Layer option under 2D information icon to activate.
→ Number of layer will be indicated and patterns with the same layer will be the same color - Click the Show Pattern Layer option again to inactivate it.
※ Note:
- The color values for each layer are as follows.
- Layer 0 has one unique color: Light Gray
- Layers 1 to 23 each have different color values. This repeats from 24 onwards.
- Negative Layers are applied in the reverse order of positive numbers.
- Layer depth display will automatically turn off when switching to another 2D Pattern Rendering Style.
End Result
Quickly visualizing and controlling layers is now convenient and intuitive
