Objective

Edit AI Bezier curves with editing tools.

Location

Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Edit Curve Point or Edit Pattern

2D Toolbar▶ Edit Curve Point or Edit Pattern

Operation

Edit Curvature

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   
   Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Edit Curve Point or Edit Pattern
   
   2D Toolbar▶ Edit Curve Point or Edit Pattern
   
   
2. Click the point on the AI Bezier Curve to access the handle.
   
   
3. When the handle appears, click and drag the point on the desired end of the handle to change the curvature.
   
   

※Note:

• To edit only one side's curvature, hold down the Alt key on the keyboard while click and dragging the point on the desired end of the handle.
• To maintain the handle's angle while changing the curvature, press down the Ctrl key on the keyboard then click and drag the curve. (ver MD10)

Convert a Segment Point to an AI Bezier Curve

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   
   Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Edit Curve Point or Edit Pattern
   
   2D Toolbar▶ Edit Curve Point or Edit Pattern
   
   
2. To convert a Segment Point to an AI Bezier curve, hold down the Alt key on the keyboard, and then click and drag the desired Segment Point.
   
   → The selected Segment Point is converted to an AI Bezier curve as the blue handle appears.

Delete Handles

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   
   Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Edit Curve Point or Edit Pattern
   
   2D Toolbar▶ Edit Curve Point or Edit Pattern
   
   
2. Click the Segment Point on the curve.
   
   → The pair of handles appear.
   
   
3. Right click on the point on the desired handle to access the pop-up menu. Then, select Delete Point.
   
   Or, hit the Delete key on the keyboard.
   
   → The selected handle is deleted and the curve is converted to a straight line.
   
   

※Note: To delete the pair of handles at once, hold down the Alt key on the keyboard and select the Segment Point on the curve.
