Objective
Duplicate an Internal Shape as an identical shaped Pattern or vice-versa.
Location
Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Transform Pattern (A)/ Edit Pattern (Z)
2D Toolbar ▶ Transform Pattern / Edit Pattern
Operation
Clone as Pattern (ver2.4.0)
- Follow the indicated guideline below:
Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Transform Pattern (A)/ Edit Pattern (Z)
2D Toolbar ▶ Transform Pattern / Edit Pattern - Right click on the Internal Shape to be duplicated as a Pattern to access the pop-up menu.
Then, select Clone as Pattern.
→The duplicated Pattern follows along the mouse cursor. - Click on the 2D window to place the Pattern.
Clone as Pattern (With Sewing) (ver. 12.2)
- Follow the indicated guideline below:
Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Transform Pattern (A) / Edit Pattern (Z)
2D Toolbar ▶ Transform Pattern / Edit Pattern - Right click on the Internal Shape to be duplicated as a Pattern to access the pop-up menu.
Then, select Clone as Pattern (With Sewing).
→The duplicated Pattern follows along the mouse cursor.
→Sewing lines are automatically generated between the selected Internal Shape and the duplicated Pattern, except in the following cases;
* Where a Segment does not have angle between its first and last points.
(Where two points are on a straight line)
* Where the selected segments are not connected to each other. - Click on the 2D window to place the pattern.
Clone as Internal Shape
- Follow the indicated guideline below:
Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Transform Pattern (A)/ Edit Pattern (Z)
2D Toolbar ▶ Transform Pattern / Edit Pattern - Right click on the Pattern to be duplicated as an Internal Shape to access the pop-up menu.
Then, select Clone as Internal Shape.
→The duplicated Internal Shape follows along the mouse cursor. - Click on the desired Pattern to place the Internal Shape.
※ Note: Hold down the Shift key on the keyboard while pasting the duplicated Pattern/Internal Shape to move it on a straight line or on a diagonal line.
