Objective

Select Patterns to move, transform and rotate.

Location

Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Transform Pattern

2D Toolbar ▶ Transform Pattern

Operation

Select

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   
   Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Transform Pattern
   
   2D Toolbar ▶ Transform Pattern
   
   
2. Click the Pattern.
   
   → The Pattern is selected and highlighted in yellow.
   
   
3. To select multiple Patterns, hold down the Shift on the keyboard and click Patterns to be selected.
   
   → All clicked Patterns are now selected.
   
   
4. Or, click and drag on the 2D window to encompass all Patterns to be selected with a marquee box.
   
   → All Patterns inside the marquee box are selected.
   → The Transform pattern tool's selection box can now select patterns no matter the area it covers; by holding CTRL and clicking and dragging your mouse. (ver. 2024.0)

Move

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   
   Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Transform Pattern
   
   2D Toolbar ▶ Transform Pattern
   
   
2. Click and drag the Pattern to be moved or use the arrow keys on keyboard.
   
   
3. Hold down the Shift key or Ctrl key (Mac: command) while moving the Pattern.
   
   → The Pattern can be moved in precise vertical, horizontal, or diagonal lines, or in its slope.
   
   
4. Or, right click or hit F1 key (Mac: Ctrl) while moving the Pattern to type in distance moved.

Transform

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   
   Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Transform Pattern
   
   2D Toolbar ▶ Transform Pattern
   
   
2. Select the Pattern to be transformed and click and drag desired point of the marquee box.
   
   → The selected Pattern is enlarged or shrunken.

Rotate

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   
   Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Transform Pattern
   
   2D Toolbar ▶ Transform Pattern
   
   
2. Select the Pattern to be rotated.
   
   
3. Select the Rotation Point, the single point above the marquee box, and drag left or right.
   
   → When the pivot point, the point at the center of the Pattern, is deactivated (in white,) the Pattern is rotated based on the center of the Pattern.

※ Note:

To select point or segment, use the Edit Pattern tool or the Transform Point/Segment tool.

Double click the pivot point to activate and transform or rotate based on the pivot point.
