Objective
Modify Patterns and Internal Shapes by moving points and segments.

Operation
Select
- Follow the indicated guideline below:
Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Edit Pattern
2D Toolbar ▶ Edit Pattern - Click a point or segment of a Pattern or Internal Shape.
→ The point or segment is selected.
→ When there are multiple points or segments, a pop-up menu appears allowing you to select the desired one (ver3.0.0.) - To select multiple points and segments, hold down the Shift key on the keyboard when clicking them.
→ All clicked points and segments are selected. - Or, click and drag on the 2D window to encompass points and segments to be selected with the marquee box.
→ All points and segments inside the marquee box are selected.
→ The Transform pattern tool's selection box can now select patterns no matter the area it covers; by holding CTRL and clicking and dragging your mouse. (ver. 2024.0)
Move
- Follow the indicated guideline below:
Main Menu ▶ 2D Pattern ▶ Edit ▶ Edit Pattern
2D Toolbar ▶ TEdit Pattern - Click and drag the Pattern or use the arrow keys.
- Hold down the Shift key or Ctrl key (Mac: command) while moving the point or segment.
→ The point or segment can be moved in precise vertical, horizontal, or diagonal lines, or in its slope. - Or, right click or hit F1 key (Mac: Ctrl) while moving the point or segment to type in distance moved.
Option Description Distance Moved Type in the how much a segment or a point is moved. X-Axis (ver4.2.0) Type in how much a point is moved on x-axis.
This option does not appear for segments.Y-Axis (ver4.2.0) Type in how much a point is moved on Y-axis.
This option does not appear for segments.
※ Note: If it is cumbersome to select Patterns using the Edit Pattern tool, use the Transform Pattern tool.
