Objective
Apply Normal Maps to express bumpy surfaces such as twill, corduroy, and leather.

Operation
Fabric Normal Map
- Follow the indicated guideline below:
Object Browser ▶ Fabric Tab ▶ Fabric Item ▶ Property Editor ▶ Material ▶ Normal Map
→ An intensity value range of -10 to 10 can be adjusted with the scrollbar or entered directly.
→ Depending on the normal map applied, the visual depth will change as you scroll from negative to positive values.
Apply Fabric Normal Map Image
- Follow the indicated guideline below:
Object Browser ▶ Fabric Tab ▶ Fabric Item ▶ Property Editor ▶ Material ▶ Normal Map
- Click on Open button.
- Select and load the desired texture image file.
→ The selected image is now applied.
※ Note :
- Although a Normal Map is automatically generated for Fabric textures, it is recommended to use third party solutions to generate more distinctive normal map effects. This feature can also be used to overlay a different texture above the existing texture. The normal map image size can also be adjusted via: Fabric Property Editor ▶ Material ▶ Texture Transformation.
- Drag and drop an image file directly from the file browser to the Open icon next to the Normal Map menu in the Property Editor (ver4.0.0).
- Drag and drop an image file directly from the file browser to an object in the program, then select the correct map: texture, normal, specular (ver4.0.0).
