Create Seam Tapping
Objective
Reinforce edges of Patterns to withstand from drooping down by gravity when Simulating.
Location
2D Toolbar ▶ Seam Taping
Select Segment Pattern ▶ Property Editor ▶ Selected Line ▶ Seam Taping
Operation
- Follow the indicated guideline below:
2D Toolbar ▶ Seam Taping
Select Pattern Segment ▶ Property Editor ▶ Selected Line ▶ Seam Taping - Select a segment Pattern to reinforce.
→ The selected segment is now being highlighted in orange color. - Activate the Simulate.
→ The seam tape is now being applied to the selected segment and being reinforced.
※ Note:
- Click-and-drag also allows applying seam tapes.
- When the Seam Taping tool is active, the applied seam tape is color coded with arrows indicating the direction of applied seam tape (ver. 2024.2).
Extend Seam Tapping
Objective
Edit the seam tape extension output with options for overlapped and non-overlapped structures when 2 or more seam taping are intersected can be created.
(Example: To create non-overlapped seam taping, first seam taping stop on the outline; second seam taping stop on the 1st seam taping)

2D Toolbar ▶ Seam Taping
Select Seam Taping ▶ Property Editor ▶ Selected Line ▶ Extend
Operation
- Follow the indicated guideline below:
2D Toolbar ▶ Seam Taping
Select Seam Taping ▶ Property Editor ▶ Selected Line ▶ Extend - Use the drop-down menu to select the stop position options: None, To Outline, and To Seam Taping.

Extend (None) = Does not extend.

Extend (To Outline) = Extend to the pattern outline

Extend (To Seam Taping) = Extends to the seam taping area of the intersected line.

※ Note:
- The arrow direction indicate the direction of seam tapping. The end without arrow tip is the start of seam tapping. And the end with arrow tip is the end of the seam taping.
