Marvelous Designer Support

Marvelous Designer does support different types of 3D file formats for our users. You can import your own avatar to Marvelous Designer so that you create various fabric items for/with it.

• Import an avatar without joints
  • The file types Marvelous Designer supports are as below. In general, most avatar files that do not contain animation cache in it can be imported as the suggested formats.
    • OBJ, FBX, Alembic, OpenCOLLADA

• Import an avatar with joints
  
  • An avatar with animation cache is recommended to be imported to Marvelous Designer as suggested file types below. 
    • FBX, Alembic
