Objective
Manage Trims as a shape or style in the Trim Window. It is possible to create, copy, apply, and set a style in the Trim list window.

Operation
Add & Apply one or more Trim Styles
1. Click Add at the top right to load a file to use as Trim.
or Main Menu ▶ File ▶ Import and import a file. In the popup window, choose Object Type as Trim.
or drag and drop a file (from Library or File Explorer) directly to the Trim Style Window.
→ A Trim style is added.
2. Drag the style from the Trim window to the 3D window, apply it, and Glue.
Copy & Paste
1. Select the added Trim style and click the Copy button.
→ The selected Trim style is copied.
2. Click the Delete button on the right side of the Trim style that is not applied to the 3D window.
→ The selected Trim style is deleted.
Change Trim Styles
1. Use the Select/Move tool to select a trim in the 3D window.
2. Click the Assign button to the right of the trim style name.
Or drag and drop a Trim style onto the trim you've selected.
→ The selected Trim's style has been changed.
3. Right-click on Trim to Delete / Delete all Unused Trims / Rename (Ver. 2025.0).
Trim Window (up to Ver. 2024.2)
Add |
Allows you to import files to use as trims into the Trim Window. Supported file formats include .TRM, .OBJ, .FBX, .USD |
Copy |
Makes a copy of the highlighted/selected Trim file |
Assign |
Apply or replace trim shapes/styles onto existing trims as desired. |
Delete Unused |
Removes from the Trim window any unused Trim files. |
